Jenny Moore Burrill grew up on Cape Cod, attended the University of Wisconsin from 1976-82 to study dance earning her MFA. She then lived on the Big Island, Hawaii, from 1984-86.
She took the big dive to New York City in ’86 to dance with Laughing Stone dance company while working as a seamstress in a futon shop on Broadway, Soho. In 1990 she co-founded the non-profit Women’s Health Education Project and began teaching stress management through movement and meditation to women in NYC shelters.
After her daughter was born in 1995, Jenny earned her license as a massage therapist.
In 2000 she began creating a yoga/dance curriculum for children she calls NatureTime Yoga celebrating environmental, animal and human nature. She continues to develop and teach this curriculum at local Brooklyn preschools. In ’05 she completed a 200 hour certification program for teaching Kundalini Yoga Meditation.
She began creating a primary school curriculum in 2012 for mindful breathing. Breathing is Boring! is waiting to be published and distributed into schools everywhere.
She continues to practice and teach yoga meditation and Mindful Moving for all ages and teaches and performs liturgical dance for Sunday service on special occasions at Old First Reformed Church in Brooklyn.

Jenny received her DANCE, MFA at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1984, became a licensed massage therapist in 1998 studying at the Swedish Institute in NYC, and received her certification for teaching Kundalini Yoga in 2005. Jenny lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
